President's Message
I wish a Happy New Year to all our members and their families. 2010 looks as though it's going to be not only a busy year, but a very fun one as well. With our usual list of shows, plow days, and tractor drives, there are a few new shows added to the list that will give our members even more opportunities to either show their collections or get involved in the organization of some activities. We are in the process of putting the show schedule together for the 2010 season. We have many dates and contacts listed but if you know of a date or cancellation or a contact please contact me at 829-4738 or e-mail me at gralley@hotmail.com so we can get things as accurate as possible. The first meeting of the year was very busy and productive. The yearly budget was presented and approved by the members present. The members also gave the OK for BOCES graphic design classes to design a T-shirt with the CNYATC logo on it which will be available to Club members for a very reasonable price. The members present also approved the involvement of the Club in the Oneida Lake Ole Tymers Engine & Tractor show to be held in September. Show coordinator Mark Congden gave a 30 minute presentation at our November meeting on his show and what he would like our Club to do. The 3-day show is held at the David E. Webb Memorial Park, Rt 49, Bernhard's Bay, NY. If you have ever attended this show in the past you have seen the interesting exhibits there that fit right into our Clubs reason for being. CNY Antique Tractor Club will be a major part of the organization of the tractor show portion of the annual event. Committees will be formed at our February meeting. Also voted on was the item(s) to be used for the annual raffle. The membership approved the purchase of an electric pressure washer with tickets to be sold throughout the show season. The pressure washer OR $100 dollars ONLY will be the winning prize. This is our main way of raising funds, along with our annual dues, to keep the Club running, so I ask you to please sell as many tickets as possible and also pay your annual dues as soon as possible.

Last year we ended up with nearly 100 members. Several new people joined the Club, bringing with them new ideas and new equipment to be displayed. We encourage everyone in the Club to bring people who have an interest in antique tractors to a meeting or show so they might join us. Our first event is the Farm Show in February at the NYS Fairgrounds. If you are at the show stop in and say hi. It's always great to see everyone. March is election time so if you have an interest in an office or know someone who has interest please call David Hyde to be nominated. As usual, if you have ideas that would be useful or you would like to get more involved please contact us. We are always looking for help and ideas. Remember this is your Club. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month at the American Legion in Canastota at 7:00 p.m.
