CENTRAL NEW YORK ANTIQUE TRACTOR CLUB, INC. Box 4, Canastota, New York 13032 |
We have managed to assemble the updated Show Schedule for the 2010 season which we are sending out in this Newsletter. If you have any that should be added please pass it along so we can amend the schedule as soon as possible. It is very difficult to put an accurate show schedule together in the early months of the year because many organizations are trying to get their shows scheduled, and in order.
Our March meeting was a busy one. Our board of directors and officer teams were re-elected for another term. Our show committee got together to begin brain storming ideas for the coming season. Rick Szmurlo is taking orders this month and next months meeting for the club T-shirts that are being made up by BOCES. Due to the school schedule we can only order until April.
We are trying to add more substance to our newsletters to give our members more information on managing club activities, and interesting things related to our beloved hobby. If you have ideas or would like to add to the newsletter please contact Ron Kilts or me.
We have a rep from Auto Finishers in Oneida scheduled for our April meeting to talk to the Club about some new paint products that will help members with present or future restoration projects.
Our next meeting starts at 7:00 pm on April 7Th . See you there!
REMINDER - BOARD MEMBERS

2010 Farm Show Report
Thanks to everyone who helped with the Farm Show on February 25, 26 and 27. We had a great turnout of members with their tractors in spite of the bad weather...Olin Custer's Massey-Harris 20, Rich Szmurlo's Farmall F-12, Howard Pickard's Allis-Chalmers WD45 Diesel, Dave Hyde's Minneapolis Moline R, Dean Hilt's John Deere L, Jim Northrup's Cockshutt 540, Steve Weisbrod's mini John Deere 4020 and Carl Rufene's Centaur KV. Tickets were given to kids 5 and under for a free John Deere toy tractor, donated by Tom Gerken. Winner was Madilynne Madore. Our fund raiser this year consists of a choice of an electric pressure washer or $100.00 cash. Ticket sales at this show were only $59 mainly because of the bad weather. I encourage you to make a good effort to sell tickets since this is our major fund-raiser for the year. A new member, William Mignault joined our Club. Special thanks to Scott and Linda Grigor and all the wonderful people on their staff for their help. Dates for the Farm Show in 2011 are February 24, 25 and 26 and we hope the weather will be better. Again, many thanks to all who helped set up the display, sell tickets and generally support this effort.
